Also, EMTs produce lesser noise, are faster, and have higher accuracy. However, the downside for EMTs is that they cost much higher compared to other types of injection moulding machines.
Mechanical machine – This type of injection molding machine uses toggle system to build up tonnage on the clamp side of the machine. Tonnage, basically, is required on all machines in order for the clamp side of the machine not to open as a result of injection pressure. This is particularly beneficial because even if the tool half opens, it will still create flash in the plastic product mounted. When tonnage built each cycle is the same as that of hydraulic machines, mechanical machine’s reliability and durability is achieved further.
Hydraulic machine – The most common type of injection molding machine is the hydraulic type. During the early years of injection molding, hydraulic machines are the ones first used. Presently, hydraulic machines are still widely used around the world except in Japan where all-electric machines are commonly used. Although hydraulic machines are relatively not very precise and accurate, their utility and durability are unquestionable.
