How to Stop Windows 8 then logon Screen

Microsoft had your security in mind while designing the Windows 8 operating system so you will have to always enter a password before you can have access to your Windows 8 Modern UI Metro Screen or desktop. The new Windows 8 logon screen is your first safety measure to keeping your data and files secure in case your computer falls into a wrong hand. The Windows 8 logon screen ensures you enter a password every time you want to use your computer but sometimes it could be a difficult task to enter password every time you want to use your computer.

Some people have complained about this in forums and some have asked me directly how they candisable Windows 8 logon screen so they won’t have to enter password every time they want to use their system. Disabling the Windows 8 logon screen will allow your computer to boot directly to the Modern UI metro screen or desktop whenever you boot your computer without you having to enter a password.

But this will also make your computer accessible to all who will lay their hands on it, but if you areVERY sure your computer has no risk of falling into the wrong hands, then you can disable Windows 8 logon screen on your computer so you won’t have to enter a password every time you log in to your computer.

How to Stop Windows 8 Logon Screen

Follow the guide I am about to share with you to disable Windows 8 logon screen on your computer running any version of Windows 8 operating system so you won’t have to enter a password every time you want to use your computer.

Note: you may be prompted to enter your password

4. Then un-check the “Users must enter a username and passwords to use this computer” box as indicated on the image below.

5. Enter your password once and then a second time to confirm it.

6. Click ‘Apply’ and then OK below to confirm your actions and save.

7. Then restart your computer and this time it will boot straight to Modern UI metro screen or desktop without having to ask you for your password again.

You can also follow the same process to re-enable the Windows 8 logon screen by checking the “Users must enter a username and passwords to use this computer” box we unchecked above.

How To Avoid Web Design Mistakes | Quicktips

Every web designer tries to design an effective website, without making any mistake. But, it is not at all mandatory that all the trials give effective results.

Some websites exists on the internet which has lots of mistakes or errors in it and these errors distract the users from the site.

Some of the common errors which designers make and due to which the users distract from the website are:

1. Unpleasant color combination

2. Too large and too small texts

3. Loading of web pages takes time

4. Pop-up windows

5. Failure in opening of external links in new browsers

Every business owner develops the website of his company with the main motive to earn profit by attracting the visitors towards their site.

In other words, they develop the website to build the reputation and credibility of the company.

To build the reputation and credibility of the company, it is necessary that, the web designer must design the website which enhances the user experience.

A visitor should feel comfortable, when he/she visits your website and he will feel comfortable only when your website is attractive and informative.

This will insists the visitor to visit your site again and again for getting updated information or more information regarding the same topic.

Described below are some of the common errors which a designer makes while designing the website.

Unpleasant Color Combinations

The websites which have appealing designs and decent color combinations are enjoyed by most of the users.

Therefore, a designer must not make use of ugly color combinations; instead they must use decent colors, which give soothing affect to the eyes.

For example. The black text with the white background gives soothing affect to the eyes and if you want to make it more attractive then you can add graphics, which will give more colorful appearance to the web page.

Too Large and Too Small Texts

It is the one of the most common mistakes which the designers make. The designers either use very small texts or very large texts on the web site.

It is true that, the use of small texts will give you the opportunity to insert a lot of information on the site, but at the same time use of small texts makes it difficult for the visitors to see or read the content, especially on the high resolution screen.

On the other hand, there are few sites, which uses too large texts, this makes the website unattractive and becomes a curse for the users using low resolution screen like 800X600 pixels.

The solution for this problem is that, you, yourself should check the text by sitting few meters away from the screen. You should be able to read the text comfortably.
Time taken for loading a web page

Every visitor clicks on the website with the hope that the website will load quickly and he will be able to see or get the information for which he is searching for.

But the designers make this mistake by adding heavy graphics or large number of graphics, which makes the loading of the page slower.

And the visitor doesn’t have the patience or the time to wait for the site to get open and that visitor skips from the website.

Therefore, it is one of the greatest problem due to which the businesses lose their online visitors. Therefore, a designer must optimize the images before placing it on the website, so that it loads much faster.

Pop Up Windows

The occurrence of the pop up windows on the site irritates and frustrates the users. The users close these windows frustratingly.

Pop up windows infect your website and give it a low quality appearance.

As a good designer, you must think that you are making the site for the user and you must see his comfortability.
Links Get Fail to Open in New Tabs

External links which don’t open in new tab, gives a very bad experience to the user. As these links enable the users to simply go to the new page without losing the previous page.

The appearance of website must be appealing to the user eyes. Therefore, web designers should design a website without any errors or mistakes and must check it before making it live on the web server.

How To Creating Responsive Websites With Adobe Edge Reflow

In today’s, we are going to explore a new tool from Adobe called Edge Reflow. I believe it helps creating a responsive website “looks so easy”, definetely something a designer and developer should check out.

Adobe Edge Reflow is at the time of this writing in public beta stage, and available to download for free. To download, login to the Adobe Creative Cloud site, and you can find the app listed in theApps Center page under the Edge Tools and Service section.

Setting-Up Grid And Workspace

Edge Reflow comes with a set of UI that allows you to manage responsive layout without dealing with codes.

At the left of the workspace, you will find several options to control webpage properties; you can set the number of columns, column gutter, the width of the content and specify the unit measurement for those lengths – px, percentage, or em.

In Edge Reflow, You can set “break points” easily. The break points are the threshold where your website styles will shift. To set the break points, click on the Plus button that is found at the top right of the workspace. Then, slide the page handler to the right or left and click on the plus button to set a new break point.

You can specify different styles for the elements on how they should look or adapt within each break points.

Adding Elements And Styling

Adding an element in Edge Reflow is as easy as a click. To create a new element, click on the rectangle icon and drag your mouse across the workspace. Upon selecting the element, Edge Reflow will display the properties that are applied, such as the width and the height, the margins, and the paddings.

You can find more options to add styles in the Styling tab. In this tab, you can add background color (even with gradients), borders (including border radius), and adjust the opacity for selected elements.

You can inspect the styles of the elements from the DOM Tree Inspector. It is found at the bottom of the workspace.

You can also preview the result in the browser by pressing Command + F12 (on Mac) or Ctrl +F12 (on Windows).

Conclusion

Since this is only a Preview, there are several key features that are not included. In the current version, I can’t find how to export projects to HTML and stylesheet documents, and the Preferencemenu is disabled.

Still, Adobe Edge Reflow looks really promising as a tool in the niche, and it could be very helpful particularly for entry-level users. With Reflow, they can create a responsive website without having to deal with the codes behind the screen.
